Plantar fasciitis took me away from enjoying a run or a long bike ride for over 8 months. Traditional treatments and rehabilitation using stretching, night splints, and NSAIDS provided little relief. After over three weeks of consistant therapy using both the laser and acupuncture I began to feel a significant reduction in pain. I’m now happy to say that I am running and biking again -- pain-free! -- and back on my training schedule.

Virginia (Ginny) Mims is an amazing practitioner. She is bright, thorough, kind, warm and gentle. She listens to every aspect of what is going on for her patients and comes up with the best way to do a treatment. Ginny has been my Acupuncturist for at least a year now. Initially I came to Ginny for general "well being" and "maintenance". Ginny wound up treating my lower back pain, anxiety, and allergies. I got married in May and I was calm and healthy in the weeks and days before the wedding. I attribute much of this to Ginny (as does my husband). I also got pregnant on my honeymoon (I can't attribute that to Ginny but I do contribute some of it to my relaxed state). Ginny has helped tremendously during my pregnancy by alleviating my back pain, nausea, allergies and anxiety. I can't take medicine for any of the previous ailments and none have really afflicted me during this time. I can't recommend her enough!!

I have no idea how it works but the results are miraculous. All my life I have struggled with incredibly painful menstrual cycles, often missing days of work due to cramps. I was an emotional mess and barely tolerable to be around during this time of the month. After my very first treatment from Ginny there were no more cramps [that cycle]. I was having cramps, then she treated me and there were no more cramps. After a few more treatments, my flow lightened and steadied, I stopped bloating and my emotions were amazingly balanced. Having my period was just another week only tampons were involved. I don't question how it works any more. I'm just extremely grateful to Ginny and for Chinese medicine.

I initially started seeing Ginny to address the symptoms I was experiencing after a TIA (mini-stroke) and have been treated by her for almost a year now. My condition is now very stable and we are now addressing other issues like fatigue, and issues related to my menstrual cycle. I was having terrible back pain, and steroids and physical therapy were not working, so I went to see Virginia to see if she could help. Her wonderfully caring and professional bedside manner helped me relax during the treatment, and I was pleasantly surprised by how painless the needles were. After the session, I felt a significant decrease in pain, and after several treatments the pain had completely minimized. I am so thankful to her!

This spring went on record as one of the worst for allergies all around the country. I was suffering horribly with sneezing, headache, runny nose, coughing, itchy eyes - the works. I had been taking an over the counter antihistamine and even that wasn't helping very much. I was standing on the streets of New York torn between calling my Doctor and calling Ginny for acupuncture. I even called my mom to ask her advice. Like a true daughter I didn't take her advice and I called Ginny. On the verge of leaving work and taking a sick day, I called her, "Ginny! I'm so miserable! I need acupuncture!!" That evening she treated me. Within just a couple of hours I already felt better. For the rest of the season I felt great. I didn't need to take antihistamines any more either!
