As a women’s health advocate, Dr. Mims is passionate about providing you with information so you  can make more informed decisions about your healthcare.  Often, women don’t know about the natural treatment options that are available for many common conditions.  These options, such as acupuncture, tend to have significantly fewer risks and side effects than standard pharmaceutical approaches to care.  But they’re not the right choice for everyone.

On the flip side, when it comes to menopause, there is a lot of fear surrounding hormone therapy that needs to be carefully unpacked.  Depending on your personal risk factors, the products used and the route of administration, HT can be a very effective and low-risk treatment option.  Dr. Mims is committed to providing you with general information so you can have a more informed conversation with your primary provider about the treatment approaches that may be best for you.
